Process Disassembly

Stone and shape: Gray-white granite (Mohs hardness 6-7) was selected, and the natural texture of the stone was used to echo the commemorative theme of “innocence and tranquility”. The simple form of “monument body + angel relief” was shaped through CNC cutting, and the monument surface and angel outline were hand-polished (with a fluctuation difference of 1-3cm) to simulate the soft texture of “feathers gently wrapped” and construct the core narrative of “guarding rest”.

Carving details
- The little angel statue: a semi-circular relief is used to present the posture of “wings embrace, sleeping peacefully” (protruding height 3-5cm), the wings are dotted with shadow carving (density 180 dots/cm²) to restore the feather layers, and the face and hands are manually refined (error <0.5mm) to depict the “innocent and quiet” demeanor; the folds of the clothes and the edges of the wings are combined with line engraving + bas-relief to enhance the visual effect of “soft wrapping” and convey the “sense of security of being protected”;
- The monument body and base: The surface of the monument is sandblasted to present a fine matte texture, forming a contrast of “roughness and softness” with the fine carving of the angel relief; the base is engraved with natural stone patterns (depth 1-2mm), simulating the heavy feeling of “the earth bearing”, extending the commemorative level.
