Process Disassembly

Stone and shape: The main body is made of iridescent granite (Mohs hardness 6 – 7), and the natural stone pattern is like a nebula, which fits the sacred atmosphere of religious themes. The outline of the elliptical shrine is cut and polished by CNC, and the edges are hand-finished (chamfer R3 – 5mm) to simulate the soft curve of the church arch; the auxiliary stone is light gray granite, and the details such as the Virgin Mary and floral bands are carved. Through the composite process of relief + line engraving, the drape of clothes and the layered texture of plants are presented.

Carving details
- The Virgin Mary statue: The Virgin Mary standing posture is shaped with a semi-circular relief (protruding height 3-5cm), the surface is dotted with shadow carving (density 180 dots/cm²) to simulate the texture of fabric, and the key parts such as hands and face are manually refined (error <0.5mm) to restore the compassionate charm of religious statues;
- Floral and leaf ribbon: It uses a combination of line engraving and bas-relief to carve details of vines and leaves to enhance the ritual sense of “surrounding the shrine”;
- Inscription processing: The name and birth and death information are presented using the intaglio filling technique, which forms a visual contrast with the dark stone and ensures that the memorial information is clear and solemn.
